Xiangxi UNESCO Global Geopark

Xiangxi UNESCO Global Geopark is located in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture on the slope zone of the eastern edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou karst plateau. The park features the world’s largest red carbonate rock forest and a magnificent plateau-cutting tableland-canyon group and other geological features. It contains various typical geological phenomena that record the evolutionary history of the area and the process of disintegration through cutting and crushing of the edge of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.

The ethnic groups’ cultures in the park integrate with the natural environment, attracting tourists from around the world.
